It covers between Sapporo and Otaru (of JR Hokkaido) and all subway lines inside Sapporo-city. You need to present your passport or short-term VISA to prove that you are foreigner visiting Japan.

Great value for money Free Pass which lets you travel through the vast Hokkaido freely. 7-Day Free Pass for JR Hokkaido-line Super Express/Express/Local trains’ non-reserved seat, JR Hokkaido Bus (except some lines). You can use the pass for reserve-seat for up to 6 times.
This is a great Free Pass if you want to travel through Hokkaido spending a long period visiting Sapporo and Furano etc.. Please be careful that this Pass is not usable during busy seasons such as Golden Week, Obon season (one particular week in August) or Year End and New Year.
